                                 Trends in smartphone manners

As smartphone use has become more and more widespread, it’s important to consider the social rules about when, where and how it’s  (1)______to use one, and when it isn’t. Most of us agree that using a phone during a film is rude and (2)_____________but it can be harder to know what’s right in a professional setting, where people need to use their phones to keep up with business texts and emails. Google'smartphone rules’ and you’ll find many (3)______________tips and suggestions - but also a lot of different opinions.

A  project atf the University o Southern California and Howard University may give us the most complete -and scientific-picture yet. The research found the most don't  approve of smatphone use in meeting-76% are not(4)__________with people checking email or sending texts in that situation. Men are less likely than women to feel (5)__________by phone use at a business lunch: only 34% of women think it’s OK, while 59% of men are OK with it. Perhaps not surprisingly, 66% of those under thirty said they wouldn't feel (6)____________texting or emailing during a business lunch, while only 20% of 51 to 65 year olds saidit was OK.
